Tuesday we done the whole tourist thing and saw the White house and shizam. It was pretty boring really.
That night I had arranged for us to meet up with french’s mate jim and his wife in Richmond who had kindly hooked us up for three nights at there apartment with them and pizza the dog. They were so friendly and jerry (jims wife) mad us breakfast fit for kings every morning. Jim writs a mag called born ugly it’s pretty sick you all should check it out. Jim took us to a spot that they have been building on the edge of an island. It was the best DIY park I’ve bin to check out the footage once it’s up to have a look. I also managed to snap my base plate there witch was a bit annoying but luckily a dude gave me a brand new one off his new set up thanks again dude. We went to a few rad places and I mean raddddd. Jim an 15 of his buddies have an amazing bowl in a garage. We headed there armed with a few beers and a banging iPod mix with carried the session on all night.
They took us to a few bars and restaurants round there and they were amazing. Although we went to one bar and there was a proper jock American style party all I could thing of was dudes just shouting SPRING BREAK!!!! but was all fun to watch a girl eat a cake with no hands an then sing ” I wonna know what love is” whilst stood on the bar. Gotta love spring break!!
Friday we said good buy to our extended family an headed to FDR DIY skate park in philidelphia. This park was soo gnarly. Every thing was big and brutal and full of lines. I met one of the locals jessy and he was sound. And a rad skater he front side slashed a DIY sketchy ass cradle followed by about a 13 ft wall ride. After about an hour I was dune the park killed me and the heat didn’t help. It’s been in the high 90′s f every day we have been here.
After the skate I headed to our hotel witch ended up being in a proper hillbilly redneck area. Leigh fitted in perfectly
We were up at 6am to get back to NY to drop off the car.
To day was the 4 July celebrations on the Hudson river. It was amazing we had a great view and the fireworks were crazy. They had smily face fireworks who’d of thought ey?
I will keep you posted on our stay in NY and out trip to Seattle and Vancouver island.
