This just in from Alex’s last leg of his USA trip.
Easy, myself and Leigh are now home and im defiantly struggling with jet-lag.
in our last leg of the trip we got a ferry from Seattle over to Vancouver island Canada, we headed there for 10 days of sun, sea and seals. we stayed with my sister and her boyfriend, they had just moved in to a new flat the day we arrived so it was the floor for Leigh and a mattress on the floor for me, i offered to share but after last time i think he’s scared of sharing with me! my bad! anyway it was a bad ass pad with a view of some amazing mountains, and they had humming birds in the garden there amazing!
the first dew days my sis had rented a car so she could show us round the island and take us to a few skate parks. we went to a place called sook were there was an amazingly clear stream called the pot holes were we just chilled and skimmed stones for a few hours. my sister then had a bright idea to take us on a crazzy ride hundreds of feet up a mountain on the sketchyist roads ever. they were windy and narrow an i didnt liek it at all, iv seen to many films of dudes dieing on roads like that and yes im a massive pussy in a car when im not driving especially in this situation, but we made it back after 6 hours and having to ask some crazy people for directions who probably only live in there village up a mountain and all have the same parents. was scary shit.
the next day we headed to a skate park called west vic, its so rad we skated ther twice in our time there just because i could!! the locals were all super cool and there were some absolute rippers, again have a look out for the vid once i do it! after a good few hourse skate we headed to another lake and had a swim, felt so good to have a shred then dive in to a nice cold lake. Leigh was being a pussy to start and was only going to “DIPP HIS FEET IN!!!” me and my sis weren’t having that so we made him get in or he had no where to stay, bribery is the best! after that Leigh was in his element, he was bullying some kids off some floating platform so he could power-bom and just general splash every one! was fun.
a few days later we went kayaking round a bay and we were on the water for about 7 hours was crazy. we stopped on some beach in the middle of nowhere and had a bbq. on our way back we got to see a seal catching its dinner and it was watching us as much as we watched it. there like sea dogs, they just watch you then eat then watch you some more was so cool.
we hit up a few other parks, there all just so good compared to the UK.
over all our trip was RAD!! we had no hassle, no breaks and no police tickets. i highly recommend every where we went or just to go travelling anywhere, you will find it amazing!
